I was born and raised in Clarksville, Tennessee. However, my accent did not quite follow me here to Cleveland. I have been quite the traveler since I left Tennessee. I started my journey in Utrecht, Netherlands where I served as an au pair for four Dutch-speaking children. I then transferred to Loyola University Chicago. Following graduation, I taught in urban DC for two years then moved to a school in Harlem. While in New York City, I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Design focusing on Technology, Media, and Literacy from Fordham University. Upon finishing the program, I made a random move back down south to Charlotte, North Carolina. There I worked as a teacher and later Instructional Technology facilitator at a charter school. I met my husband, Pat, who is originally from Avon Lake, at work. We fell in love and decided to move back “home” to Cleveland.
Upon moving back to Cleveland, I began working at Beaumont School as an Instructional Technology Coordinator, but longed to be challenged and work a bit closer to home as we started our family. We have one child, Quinn Thomas, and another on the way. Pat and I love to travel, all things soccer, and learning. He is a teacher at St. Edwards School in our own neighborhood of Lakewood.
